Ӣ Children under the age of 18 (must reside in the household 51% of the time)
Ӣ Elderly persons 62 years or older
Ӣ Disabled persons

The Cedar Falls Housing Authority Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program waiting list is currently CLOSED. The Cedar Falls Housing Authority will NOT accept any NEW applications for the waiting list. There are currently many more families on the waiting list than Cedar Falls is able to serve with current funding levels and the wait to receive assistance is much longer than the recommended wait time. There is no scheduled date to reopen the waiting list at this time. When Cedar Falls is prepared to re-open the waiting list, an announcement will be posted on this website and in the local newspaper.

If your name is already on a waiting list, you do not need to take any action. Cedar Falls will maintain your name and the date and time you applied. You are still required to update your personal information by submitting changes in writing. Staff will continue to process the applications of those households currently on the list and issue vouchers as funding and vacancies allow.

The Cedar Falls Housing Authority will continue to accept applications for the Cedar Falls residency preference list, which is limited to those applicants currently living in Cedar Falls with proof of residency. If you are a Cedar Falls resident with proof of residency, you may still apply any Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 220 Clay Street.
